Ꭲꮃꭼɴꭲꭹ-ꮪꭼꮩꭼɴ ꮪuꮇꮇꭼꭱꮪ ㅤㅤㅤago, Ephraim was born as the first son and first born alike to his parents. His mother was a minor noblewoman and his father was a Captain of the House Knights under House Dzemael. And all was well, until the red lung. So his mother found himself a widow and he, at five years old, fatherless.His mother remarried to an older Elezen noblewoman seeking companionship in her ailing age, though she had little interest in having another young son. Nannies and tutors did much of Ephraim’s rearing, along with his mother when she wasn’t busy with his step-mother. It wasn’t an unhappy childhood.The Borderel family are distant relations to the infamous House Angelique and so, with no love for poetry or politics and on a favor from his 'step-mother,' he pursued knighthood and found his place among the Knights of House Angelique. Light-hearted and always ready for a drink or a laugh, Ephraim’s a friendly face and a frequenter of many of Ishgard’s well-known bars (as well as the beds of knight and maid alike).

1. KNIGHT'S TALE
Any and all things knightly are caught under this--fellow knights, those who know knights, nobility. There's plausible reason for him to interact with anyone who would be adjacent to knightly folk.
Ishgard's been closed for most of his life. He's just now starting to encounter people from the outside. He's eager to meet strangers from all over Hydaelyn--eager to swap stories and get to know the world outside.

3. MID-SHIFT MAN
While he usually only does work sanctioned by the Angelique family, during his week off after his shift at guarding their silver mines, he's welcome to take on other work. Have a job that needs a knight? He's always eager to help.
He doesn't know it, but his father studied under a Lominsan Marauder who found their way into Ishgard. He doesn't know it, but that's the perfect person to help him improve his art with the axe. Maybe someone else would.

5. AXE NO QUESTIONS
He got his axe from his father, though he doesn't know the story. Someone does, though--probably a Viera from the Golmore Jungle. That's where the axe he carries came from, and it's a little out of place in Ishgard.

I am in the Eastern time zone and mostly around in night and evenings. I'm around most of the time on weekends if there's not some sort of real-life thing going on, because I have one of those. It is a terrible burden that keeps me from playing Internet Barbies as much as I want.

On the topic of shipping--see what I did there?--Ephraim's pretty loosey-goosey and casual. He's in a semi-committed polyamorous situation in that if he pursues anything romantic, there has to be major discussion with all players before hand. That said, don't expect exclusivity or anything. He flirts with, like, everyone. I also do not ERP unless I know you reasonably well, but I'm good with implications and fade to black. I, out of character, will also get the green light from his partners' players before anything sexual happens.
4. MY IMMORTAL--wait--IMMERSION
Mods are totally neat little tools that let us make our characters look however we want! And while you can do whatever you want with your pixels, it may not suit my taste. And that's totally fine, it just means we're not compatible. Yes, that means the super-modded club styles. Not for me. I like things that could logically exist within the world and aesthetics of Hydaelyn. ("But there's modern glams--" Shh. Shhh.)

So if you've gotten this far, you might be like Okay, what does this guy want? (That or you're thinking I'm terribly unfunny at when we probably won't be a good match.) So what am I wanting for Ephraim? I love courtly slice of life. I like adventure. I like romance. I like comedy. Ephraim's the everyman knight character who is pretty flexible to most scenes.
